Lead sources

Send website form leads to Arraxis

Connect any website form or tool with a webhook, plus Google Forms and Google Sheets. Send a test, check the fields and save.

Most website forms and automation tools can send their entries to Arraxis. Each place a lead comes from is a source with its own private address. You create the source, paste its address into the other tool, send a test, and tell Arraxis which field is the phone number. After that, every submission becomes a lead.

This works with Contact Form 7, WPForms, Gravity Forms, Elementor, Forminator, Fluent Forms, Zapier, Make and anything else that can send a web request (a webhook). On WordPress you can also use the Arraxis plugin, which needs no field matching.

Connect a form or tool

  1. Open Settings → Lead Sources and press Add a source.
  2. Choose Any other form or app (webhook), give it a name and press Create.
  3. Under Copy this address, press Show and copy. The button then reads Copy.
  4. Paste the address where your form plugin or tool asks for a webhook URL. The card has a short guide for each plugin. In Zapier or Make, add a step that sends a web request to the address.
  5. Submit your form once, using a real phone number.
  6. The card shows the fields that arrived, with its best guess for each one. Click any guess that is wrong, then press Looks right, save.

If your form has no test button, press Send a sample instead to see the card light up before you touch the form.

What the source card tells you

The card saysWhat it means
Waiting for the first submissionNothing has arrived yet.
Listening for a test (N min left)New sources listen for 30 minutes. Submissions that arrive now wait on the card. They become leads when you press Looks right, save, when the listening ends, or when you press Add it as a lead on one.
Last lead 2 hours agoThe source is working.
Paused. Submissions are ignored. You switched it off. The other tool sees no error, but nothing is saved.
A red lineThe last submission could not be read, for example "No phone or email was found". Open the card and click the fields.

A test never becomes a lead. If a test is waiting in the list, press This was my test, do not add it.

Rules that apply to every source

  • A lead needs a phone number or an email address. A name alone is not enough.
  • The same submission sent twice, for example by a retry, is one lead.
  • When the same person writes again later, it is added to their open lead as "Enquired again", and the person who owns the lead is told.
  • A branch or service that is not in your lists is kept on the lead as an extra answer. It never creates a new location.
  • Passwords, card numbers, captcha answers and security tokens are never stored.

Keep each address private, because anyone who has it can add leads to your account. If one leaks, press Make a new address. The old one keeps working for 7 days, so nothing breaks while you update the other tool.

Google Forms

  1. Press Add a source, choose Google Form, name it and press Create, then press Copy the script.
  2. In your form, open the three dots at the top right and choose Apps Script. Delete what is there, paste the script and click the disk icon.
  3. Choose arraxisSetup in the list at the top and click Run. Google asks for permission. If it says "Google hasn't verified this app", click Advanced, then go on and click Allow. It is your own script, and Arraxis never sees your Google account.
  4. Choose arraxisSendTest and click Run. The card shows "Test received" and your questions. Check the phone question, then press Looks right, save.
  5. Fill in the form once yourself. The lead appears within seconds.

Questions are matched by title. If you rename a question later, Arraxis shows it as a new question, so match it again on the card. The script contains your private address, so treat it like a password.

Google Sheets

Under Settings → Lead Sources → Google Sheets, press Connect Google Sheets. Use a Google account the business owns, because the sheets are kept in that account.

  • A copy of your leads: press Create the sheet. Arraxis fills a tab called Leads with one row per lead and keeps it up to date. Changes you type into the sheet are not copied back.
  • Add leads by typing them into a sheet: press Create the sheet, then share it with the people who type. A row with a phone number becomes a lead within about two minutes.

Other sources in the same list

The list also has a Google Ads lead form and a Shopify store source, and each card shows its own steps. Google does not allow lead forms for healthcare advertisers, so clinics should use a website form. The Shopify source reads only your store's contact form, not orders.
