Connect WhatsApp to Arraxis

Connect your number through the official WhatsApp Business Platform, and learn how costs, templates and the 24-hour window work.

Connecting WhatsApp lets your team read and answer WhatsApp chats in the Arraxis Inbox. It also lets automations send messages, such as a welcome to every new lead.

Arraxis connects to Meta's official WhatsApp Business Platform. You approve the connection in a pop-up that Meta controls, so nobody at your business pastes a token or a password into Arraxis.

Before you start

  • Only an owner or manager can connect WhatsApp.
  • Choose the number you want customers to message. Think about this first (see "Which number should I use?" below).
  • Have a payment card ready for Meta. Sending template messages needs one on file (see "Who pays?" below).
  • Have access to the Facebook account that manages your business with Meta.

Connect your number

  1. Open Settings → WhatsApp Business.
  2. Press Connect WhatsApp. A guided pop-up from Meta opens. Meta calls this Embedded Signup.
  3. Follow Meta's steps. You choose or create your business, choose or create your WhatsApp Business Account, and add and verify your number. The exact screens are Meta's and can change.
  4. Back in Arraxis, the page shows your number as connected. If you are asked to Pick the WhatsApp number to connect, choose it from the list.
  5. Send a message to your number from another phone. It should appear in the Inbox within a few seconds. Reply from Arraxis to check the other direction.

If you do not see Connect WhatsApp, or the page says "Waiting for the Meta app", the connection is not open for your workspace yet. Email support@arraxis.site for the latest status.

If Meta asks for a six-digit two-step verification PIN, the number already had one. Enter the PIN you set before. The Arraxis page shows Enter the number's two-step verification PIN.

Which number should I use?

Putting a number on the WhatsApp Business Platform normally takes it off the ordinary WhatsApp app on that phone.

Some numbers can stay on the WhatsApp Business app and work with Arraxis at the same time. Meta calls this coexistence. It only works where Meta supports it. When it is used, messages you send from your phone also appear in the Arraxis Inbox.

  • A number nobody uses in the WhatsApp app: connect it directly.
  • A number your team uses every day in the WhatsApp Business app: ask us first at support@arraxis.site, or expect the app to stop receiving messages once the number connects.

Who pays?

Meta bills WhatsApp to your own card, and Arraxis adds nothing on top. You add a payment method in WhatsApp Manager, which is Meta's tool.

Under Meta's current pricing, replies you send within 24 hours of the customer's last message are free. Template messages are charged by Meta, and the price depends on the country. Meta can change its pricing, so check its pricing page for the latest.

Owners and managers can see in Arraxis whether each message was billable and, where the price is known, what it cost.

Without a card, sending pauses and Arraxis shows "WhatsApp billing is not set up. Add a payment method in WhatsApp Manager, then click Try again."

Templates and the 24-hour window

WhatsApp has one rule that shapes everything else.

  • When a customer writes to you, a 24-hour window opens. Inside it you can reply in your own words.
  • When the window is closed, you can only send an approved template. A template is a message whose wording Meta has approved in advance.

If you try to reply after 24 hours, Arraxis tells you the window is closed and offers a template instead.

Open Settings → WhatsApp Business to see how many templates are approved, pending or rejected. Press New template to write one and send it to Meta with Submit. Meta usually answers within a few hours and can take up to 24. Until a template is approved, messages that need it wait.

Arraxis messages a lead on WhatsApp on its own only if they agreed to it. If a customer replies STOP, Arraxis will not message them again automatically.
